  • We agree! There is an equally rich history of the special alchemy that happens when men meet and share in a sacred way. While Welcome Goddess is specifically designed for people who identify as women, we look forward to seeing who will create new dedicated spaces for men and support them in their healing.

  • Yes. And…

There is a lot of confusion today around the meaning of feminism.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, feminism promotes the “equality of the sexes and the establishment of the political, social, and economic rights of the female sex.”

Does anyone disagree that everyone should have access to the same political, social, and economic rights?!

Feminism is not about hating men. Feminism is not about lording power over another person or establishing a matriarchy. Feminism isn’t only for women and doesn’t dictate how you look or dress. Feminism doesn’t mean you have to have a certain type of job or pay for everything yourself.

When feminism first came on the scene last century, attempts at equality by our foremothers did look and feel more prescriptive and, well, more masculine. But these women did what they could to achieve in a man’s world – and for that, we are grateful because American women today enjoy more freedom and choice thanks to their efforts.

    And… inequality is still pervasive.

Feminism is about respect for all people, regardless of gender, sexuality or race. If you are down with that belief, you will feel right at home at Welcome Goddess.

  •  No, all of our classes and workshops are currently conducted in English. But we welcome your feedback and will consider other languages if there is a desire in the community!

We've all been raised with youth-based beauty standards and the sexist expectation that a woman's worth is defined by how she looks. Our society is awash with discrimination and harmful stereotypes about getting older. At the same time, few of us reach midlife without having weathered some serious storms in our personal or professional lives.

The second half of life can also be a potent period for transformation and possibility. Indigenous cultures have long known this and revere their elders as beacons of wisdom and light!

Join us for a celebration of wise women journeying from what once was into what’s next. This is a space for us to explore the complexities of aging as well as commemorate a powerful, new phase of life. Part discussion group, part play party, Inspired Aging invites you to create a new vision for your future and let go of limitations.

This class is open to women of all ages, and can be particularly helpful for younger women who find themselves fearing aging. When we change how we regard older women, we change how we view ourselves. Come learn from and play with the valuable qualities that can come with age, like acceptance, confidence, freedom, and inner radiance.

Aging is a sensitive subject for most American women.
